In early 2022, while working in a mining exploration company as a drilling helper, I found myself on a relentless schedule—22-day night shifts rotating with equally grueling day shifts. The work was intense, both physically and mentally. Operating heavy machinery through the night required unwavering focus. In those conditions, coffee wasn’t a luxury. It was a necessity.
Like millions of consumers, I reached for the most accessible options—major coffee brands, supermarket labels, national chains. But cup after cup, something was missing. Despite the glossy packaging and premium pricing, the coffee lacked flavor, character, and—more importantly—transparency. Few brands mentioned origin. Fewer still offered traceability. Having grown up in a coffee-producing country, I knew what authentic, high-quality coffee should taste like.
